The Periodic Table of the Elements (PTE) is found in every chemistry book and in every school formulary, so that it is known to all students from the classroom at the latest from the ninth grade.
But how can you give your students access to this ordering system of chemical elements? Apart from the usual course of instruction in connection with the atomic structure, there are foreseeable and accidental contacts with the PTE, which have a high educational value. In addition to historical, playful and theatrical methods, there are astonishingly many experimental possibilities to approach the PTE.
