The IPN is awarded permanent certification as a "family and life phase conscious institute"
As an institution the IPN aims to align HR policies with family and life-conscious awareness to create a good framework for reconciling academic performance and family responsibilities.
As early as 2006, the IPN received the work and family audit certificat from berufundfamilie Service GmbH for its family-friendliness.
After several temporary certificates, in 2017 the IPN was the first Leibniz Institute to receive a permanent certificate as a reward for its "family and life-phase-conscious" personnel policy and culture at the institute. This was confirmed in 2020 and is expected to be awarded again in fall 2023.
Why a workandfamily “audit” at the IPN
Besides its intrinsic motivation, the institute's management also aims to achieve an external impact, especially in finding outstanding future scientists to strengthen the IPN.
