Physics Education
The Department of Physics Education analyses teaching-learning processes in physics education and develops subject structures for school teaching using didactical reconstructions. Research on how the teaching of modern physics can address the problems of science education is conducted alongside research on the acquisition of knowledge in physics and interdisciplinary work aimed towards making complexity comprehensible. The Physics Education Department is also involved in educational monitoring projects and model programs to improve the quality of science education in Germany.
