Compared to other school accidents, accidents in chemistry classes are so rare that they cannot be recorded in percentage. However, if something does happen, it usually makes headlines in the media. Additionally the incident usually has a judicial impact and results in staff regulation alterations.
The author highlights similarities and generates awareness for prevention.
