Dishwashing tablets are available in numerous varieties and in every drugstore or supermarket, but who has ever examined this highly complex everyday product more closely? Since the product is alkaline, caution is required, but as the article shows, highly motivating questions and findings are found that have a strong anchoring in everyday life and provide a rich profit for the context‐oriented experimental science education.
