The framework for Global Development Education encourages to address the issues of sustainable development and global development in all school subjects. So far, the three subjects biology, chemistry and physics have reacted differently to this proposal. In biology, both research and teaching suggestions can be found; for chemistry and physics, there are very few approaches. However, as described by the standards of education for biology, chemistry and physics, sustainable development is a possible context regarding competencies for socio-scientific issues. Due to this framework, common practical teaching literature in all three subjects is summarized.
