Cosmetic products may contain micro plastic in the form of polyethylene beads (PE), which can swim through the water treatment plants and enter the sea as well as in food chains. With a conventional coffee filter, the products are revealed. On public pressure more and more manufacturers exchange PE now by more environmentally friendly substitutes such as microcrystalline cellulose.
