Assist-me: Inquiry-based learning as a teaching method
5. October 2016
In recent years, inquiry-based teaching methods have become an established method of instruction in classrooms, not least through a number of EU-funded projects.
Because this approach is extremely complex, it is still debated if it actually improves students’ success. What is obvious, however, is that due to the intricacy of inquiry-based learning students need help with it.
One promising possibility to actively support students in reaching their learning objective can be found in the methods of formative and summative assessment. The EU project ASSIST-ME, a research-practice partnership, follows this approach.
