ZIB - Center for International Student Assessment
The Center for International Student Assessment (ZIB) is a research network between the School of Education of the TUM (Technical University Munich), the German Institute for International Educational Research (DIPF) and the Leibniz Institute for Science and Mathematics Education (IPN).
A core task at the ZIB is research dealing with the central methodological problems within large student assessment studies (large-scale assessments) and researching for their solution.
The most well-known project of the ZIB is PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment). Research connected to and going beyond this are carried out at the DIPF in Frankfurt, the IPN in Kiel and at the TU Munich.
The ZIB is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany.
